Beaver Research Champions - Pedro Lomonaco
Pedro Lomonaco is the director of the O.H. Hinsdale Wave Research Laboratory, one of the largest and technically most advanced laboratories for coastal research in the world.
Lomonaco was recognized at a Beaver Football home game at Reser Stadium for the important work that they do.

A Change on the Menu: Wolves in Alaska's Katmai Wilderness
Researchers from Oregon State University and the National Park Service have uncovered new insights into the hunting behavior of Alaska's coastal wolves in Katmai National Park. Their recent paper in Ecology reveals previously undocumented incidents, such as a male wolf's hunting and consuming a harbor seal.
