RCRV Part 3: Last Voyage of the Oceanus

Oregon State University is currently designing and delivering the next generation of Regional Class Research Vessels as part of a large undertaking funded by the National Science Foundation.

In the process, we recently retired the R/V Oceanus, a long-serving workhorse that served science missions on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts. This video documents the last voyage and pays tribute to the people who made the Oceanus a home for researchers at sea.
