The Rush Process: Building Connections

Once you’ve identified a fraternity you’re interested in, the next step is the “rush” process. Rush is a period where potential new members meet with fraternity brothers to learn more about the organization and showcase their personalities and values. During rush, you’ll attend events, such as social gatherings, open houses, or dinners, where you can interact with current members.

The goal of rush is to form meaningful connections, as the fraternity wants to get to know you just as much as you want to get to know them. It’s important to be yourself, ask questions, and be open to the experience. At the same time, you should be evaluating if the fraternity’s values align with your own.
