Everyone Loves Harvest | John Deere
From cooler temps in the morning, to warm Autumn sunshine, and the smell of grain unloading into a cart — there’s something special about harvest. It’s even more special when shared with family around the table.
Everyone loves harvest.
And so do we.
Special thank you to the Mentzer Farm family for sharing their harvest story.

Water Conservation in Oregon –Farmers Irrigation District
For more Sustainability In Action videos, visit https://www.epa.gov/sustainability/su...
The Farmer’s Irrigation District (FID) Project came about because EPA, the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ), and the FID collaborated and used the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) to solve a number of environmental and economic issues. The FID’s existing open ditch irrigation system wasn’t reliable, the agricultural runoff was causing water quality issues, and the system was wasting water resources. To help solve the issues, the FID used CWSRF loans to pipe and pressurize the irrigation system and to install in-pipe hydroelectric generators. The enhanced system provides irrigators reliable access to water; a range of water-saving irrigation options; and reduced labor costs and conserves six billion gallons of water annually.

OSU’s resident “Dairy Fairy” Robin Frojen, manager of the OSU Creamery, takes us behind the scenes to show how Beaver Classic and the Creamery’s many other wares are made, right here on campus. And if this video makes you hungry, you can buy Beaver Classic cheese at Market of Choice, at the Corvallis farmers market, online or at the Creamery itself on open days.
