Students learn from semiconductor companies at intensive workshop

OSU environmental engineering student MacKenzie Baertlein shares her behind-the-scenes look into the semiconductor industry at a training camp sponsored by Analog Devices and Intel. At the two-week intensive workshop, first-year undergraduates learned about what it takes to manufacture semiconductors that enable modern electronic devices. The workshop included a combination of virtual reality, in-classroom theory and hands-on experience with semiconductor equipment and robotics systems, giving students a glimpse into a potential career path.
